Lion Dates Impex Private Limited was founded in 1978 in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, by Mr. P. Ponnudurai — with a conviction unusual for its time: that Indian families deserved clean, hygienically packed dates rather than loose produce with no quality control. That founding idea grew, decade by decade, into India's largest dates processing company.
The company was incorporated as a Private Limited entity on 3 February 2000 (CIN U15131TN2000PTC044086). Today, Lion Dates operates from its registered office in Chennai and four manufacturing facilities across Trichy district, with a distribution network spanning 28+ Indian states and an export division serving 15+ countries. Every batch that leaves our facilities carries the same promise the brand was built on — quality, purity and trust, without compromise.
